Founder and CEO ELEVATE
Mikki Willis is an award-winning filmmaker, humanitarian, and founder of Elevate, a production company focused on creating socially conscious media.12 He established Elevate in 2001 and has been its CEO since then.1 Willis has produced over 300 productions, including network television specials, theatrical features, viral media campaigns, and music videos for multi-platinum artists.1
Willis gained international recognition for founding the Elevate Film Festival in 2006, which quickly became known as "the world's largest single screen film event," attracting audiences of up to 6,000 people.12 His work often involves documenting historic events and sacred ceremonies, reflecting his commitment to inspiring change through art and entertainment.1
A pivotal moment in Willis' career came on September 11, 2001, when he was inside the Twin Towers hours before they fell. He subsequently helped organize and lead a group of civilians in aiding rescue workers at Ground Zero, an experience that defined his life's purpose.12
