Mike Staresinic

Lead political transition, democracy, governance, and rights programs in complex political and security settings

Mike Staresinic is an internationally recognized leader in driving transformational change. For more than 25 years, he has directed global development programs across 45 countries in some of the most challenging political and security settings. Adept at coaching and supporting leaders of organizations and coalitions, Mike has been instrumental in realizing significant national, city, and organizational change. Mike founded three transformational consulting companies and overseen multiple projects which have merited recognition from the State Department Women of Courage, the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Award, and the Nobel Prize in Peace (2015).

Mike has extensive experience supporting 40+ renowned international organizations in 40+ countries. He has worked with mayors, presidents, ministers, staff of non-profit organizations, and businesses. With his technical and leadership skills, he has won four multi-billion dollar worldwide proposal competitions, including USAID's largest competition. He has also led national projects of $62M, managing all aspects of critical US programs. Mike is a proponent of developing civil societies, boosting civic participation, advancing human rights, governance, and democracy. The Washington Post and The New York Times have both featured Mike's work.

Mike's educational background is impressive. He pursued a B.Sc in Electrical Engineering, Computers & Communication, from Penn State University, with a 3.43 GPA, garnering four times a College of Engineering Dean's List. Mike also completed an Executive Business Program, Consulting and Coaching for Change from the University of Oxford Said Business School, a Master of Science, Coaching and Consulting for Change from HEC Paris, an Executive Program in Leadership from Harvard Kennedy School, and is currently completing a Certificate in Disruptive Strategy with Clayton Christensen at Harvard Business School Online.
