Mike Sladden is an experienced educator, writer, community activist, and guide who has been involved with Camp Pathfinder for over 20 years, ultimately becoming the owner and director of the camp.
He has a deep connection to the Canadian Wilderness and is passionate about providing boys with a unique outdoor experience that fosters independence, empathy, and personal growth.
Camp Pathfinder, located in Algonquin Provincial Park, offers a range of activities including swimming, sailing, paddling, camping, and fishing, allowing kids to connect with nature and learn valuable skills.
With over 40 years of experience in various roles, including as a museum educator at the George Eastman Museum, Mike brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his position at Camp Pathfinder, effectively communicating with campers, parents, and alumni.
His educational background includes studying History and English Literature at Connecticut College, attending Phillips Exeter Academy, and focusing on the History of Photography at The State University of New York's Visual Studies Workshop.
