Janine Hirt

Janine Hirt is the CEO of Innovate Finance, an independent industry body that represents the UK FinTech sector. She has held this position since May 2021, having been with Innovate Finance since its inception in 2014. The organization aims to promote and advance the global FinTech community in the UK, connecting various stakeholders, including startups, established financial institutions, and government entities, to foster innovation and effective regulation in the financial technology space.124

Before her role at Innovate Finance, Hirt served as the Head of Corporate Relations at Chatham House, a prominent policy institute in London. Her career also includes experience with the Brazilian-American Chamber of Commerce in New York and the recruitment firm Michael Page. Additionally, she has taught English as a second language in Japan and worked in training roles.13

Hirt holds a Bachelor's degree in English and Political Science from Boston College and a Master's degree in International Relations from the London School of Economics. She resides in London with her husband and child.12
