Mike Shields is a seasoned researcher and creative thinker with over a decade of experience collaborating with various entities like community organizations, nonprofits, government agencies, academic institutions, and private corporations.

Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Sociology, Mike is devoted to crafting feasible research and evaluation initiatives that deliver innovative outcomes for all involved parties. He thrives on strategic thinking, embraces collaboration, and constantly seeks to expand his skill set through diverse learning opportunities.

His specialties span a wide range of areas including Social Research, Big Data Analysis, Civic Innovation, Quantitative Analysis, R programming language, Spatial Analysis, QGIS, Survey Design and Analysis, Qualitative Analysis, Interview and Focus Group Development, Project Design and Management, Team and Alliance Building, Data Consultation, and Community Development.

Mike's academic journey includes a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) and a Master of Arts (MA) in Sociology from Northeastern University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Sociology and Anthropology from Elizabethtown College.

His professional experience includes roles like Project Manager at the Economy League of Greater Philadelphia, Data Consultant at the Boston Area Research Initiative, Researcher at the Boston Area Research Initiative, and various positions as Graduate Teaching Assistant and Graduate Research Assistant at Northeastern University.
