    Kevin Gotham is a distinguished forensic sociologist with a rich background in areas such as premises liability, crime foreseeability, fraud theory, real estate and housing policy, as well as the political economy of post-disaster reconstruction.

    His expertise extends to both qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis, structured and semi-structured interviewing, questionnaire and survey development, case-study methods, focus group interviews, archival data collection, ethnography, qualitative research, and content and textual analysis.

    Kevin is known for his application of sociological and criminological knowledge in various legal contexts through academic publications, expert witness services in litigation, and university teaching.

    Currently, he holds the position of Associate Dean and Professor of Sociology at Tulane University, where he imparts knowledge in forensic sociology, criminology, urban policy, housing policy, real estate development, and sociological theory to undergraduate and graduate students.

    Over his career, Kevin Gotham has amassed an impressive publication record that includes four books, numerous peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and review essays. He has spearheaded several long-term research projects and secured three substantial National Science Foundation (NSF) awards as a principal investigator (PI) and co-PI.

    His academic journey includes a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Sociology from the University of Kansas, where he also obtained his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in the same discipline.

    Kevin has held significant roles such as serving as the Program Director at the National Science Foundation and as an Instructor at the University of Kansas.

    His current position at Tulane University sees him actively engaged as the Associate Dean of Research, Grants, and Graduate Programs within the School of Liberal Arts.
