Mike Coburn

Mike Coburn is a partner in the Tax and Corporate/Commercial group at Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP, with a strong focus on entertainment/digital media, natural resources, and cross-border investment.

His expertise includes various areas such as hybrid asset/share sale transactions, IP-oriented business expansions into Canada, tax-efficient stock options, HST audits, Social Services Tax compliance, and SRED claims.

Mike regularly provides guidance on business purchases/sales, RRSP and TFSA compliance, tax withholding, public company transactions, 'flow-through' share offerings, foreign affiliate planning, and shareholder agreements.

He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) from The University of British Columbia.

Prior to his current position, Mike was a Partner at Davis LLP and held roles at Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP as both an Associate and an Articled Student.
