Michelle Higa Fox

Michelle Higa Fox is an Emmy-award winning artist and filmmaker known for her unique blend of code-based visuals and handmade animation.

With over eighteen years of experience in motion graphics, animation, and experience design, Michelle has received prestigious awards including a Peabody Award, Art Directors Club Young Guns award, and Best Music Video award at SXSW.

In 2012, she established Slanted Studios to focus on creating commercial projects, music videos, and interactive art installations at the convergence of animation and emerging technology.

Michelle has worked with renowned clients such as Netflix, Facebook, Twitter, Adult Swim, Coach, Nike, Samsung, and Viacom.

Her collaborations with MacArthur Fellow Camille Utterback have led to interactive public art installations on both coasts of the US.

She has held key roles like Group Creative Director at BUCK, Creative Director at BUCK, Creative Director at Answered by Vox, Creative Director at Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj, and Technical Director at The Mill.

Michelle's educational background includes a B.A. with Honors in Art: Semiotics from Brown University and studies at NYU Stern School of Business.

She was a Voting Member in the Motion & Title Design Peer Group at the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
