Andy Levitt

Andy Levitt is a prominent entrepreneur and the founder and former CEO of The Purple Carrot, a pioneering company in the plant-based meal kit sector. Established in 2014, The Purple Carrot was notable for being the first and only meal kit service dedicated entirely to plant-based foods. Under Levitt's leadership, the company grew significantly and became a recognized brand in the health-conscious consumer market. He played a crucial role in shaping its strategic direction, building a strong executive team, and expanding its offerings, including partnerships with notable brands like TB12 and ConAgra.1

Before founding The Purple Carrot, Levitt had a successful career in the pharmaceutical industry and was also the creator of HealthTalker, a word-of-mouth marketing firm focused on healthcare, which he sold in 2012. His educational background includes an MBA from New York University's Stern School of Business and an undergraduate degree from Emory University.1

After selling The Purple Carrot to Oisix ra daichi in May 2019, Levitt continued to lead the company until April 2022. He is currently involved with Brightly Ventures Inc., which focuses on tackling food waste and climate change through innovative solutions.1 Andy Levitt resides in the Boston area with his family.
