Michael Ostergaard

Michael Ostergaard is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Unison Energy Partners, a solar energy development group, overseeing its subsidiary SolarGente in Costa Rica.

With over 10 years of international experience in the renewable energy industry, Michael specializes in corporate finance, investment valuation, and project development.

His expertise spans across utility companies, multinational professional services, and boutique investment banking, contributing to multimillion-dollar capital raises, renewable energy project development, and M&A deal valuations.

Having lived and worked in Europe, North America, Central America, and Asia, Michael possesses a deep understanding of diverse cultures and backgrounds.

He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with Distinction from Hult International Business School and has studied Economics & Finance at Aarhus Universitet, Economics at London School of Economics and Political Science, and Economics at Københavns Universitet.

Previously, Michael has held various roles such as Director at SolarGente S.A., Manager in Investment Banking at Banco Promerica, and positions at PwC, DONG Energy, Korral Partners A/S, and Berlingske Media.

His broad experience includes senior financial analysis, utility price dynamics, renewable energy economics, equity sales, and management roles in media firms.
