Michael Garrett
Michael Garrett is a seasoned healthcare professional with more than 30 years of experience in healthcare quality, care/case management, managed care, utilization management, and population health management services. He is an experienced leader and his focus is on improving health outcomes through high-performing clinical programs, optimal benefit plan design, and high-quality health systems. Garrett has worked with Medicare, Medicaid, long-term disability, state employee benefit plans, self-funded health plans, workers’ compensation, and other programs. He has served in operational management, business development, product development, consulting, and strategic planning roles. Garrett has developed and implemented new care delivery models, such as patient-centered medical homes, clinically integrated networks, and accountable care organizations (ACOs). Currently, he is working on implementation and monitoring of ACOs in markets across the country. His commitment to the healthcare industry includes serving on the Commission for Case Manager Certification as well as URAC’s clinical accreditation and health standards committees. His education includes a Masters degree from the University of Idaho in clinical psychology and a Bachelors degree in psychology from Gonzaga University. He is also a Certified Case Manager, Certified Vocational Evaluator, Board Certified Patient Advocate, and a Nationally Certified Psychologist.
