Senior Data centre Manager

I am managing two Data centre sites in Ireland for Yahoo at present

Data Centre Manager

+ Procuring Hardware for projects from a range of vendors
+ Providing on call support to maintain maximum up time of equipment in data centre 
+ Training team members to Yahoo standards.
+ Managing install progress and managing projects such as server room fit outs and expansions.
+ Managing a team of 3 Engineers plus additional contractors
+ Working as a leader to ensure goals are achieved and installations/maintenance is on schedule.
+ Interacting with project managers, management and installs co-ordinators 
+ Ensuring server rooms are balanced for power and cooling
+ Interacting with other teams such as storage/networking to ensure the smooth running of facility

Senior Data centre Supervisor

+ Procuring Hardware for projects from a range of vendors
+ Providing on call support to maintain maximum up time of equipment in data centre 
+ Ensuring stock levels are kept up to satisfactory levels
+ Reporting on install progress and managing projects
+ Working as part of a team to ensure goals are achieved and installations/maintenance is on schedule.
+ Working on server Operating systems FreeBSD, RHEL, Windows

Site Operations Engineer

+  Performing customer backups
+  Monitoring customer connectivity and insuring any outage is promptly resolved.
+  Insuring customer satisfaction by communicating in a professional and courteous manner.
+ Providing remote hands for customers when required.
+ Insuring levels of security are kept to the highest standards.
+ Managing a small team of NMC operators ensuring processes followed
+ Dealing with customer issues and ensuring team performance is on par with expectations
+ Carrying out technical work on dedicated servers when necessary.

NMC Team Leader

+  Performing customer backups

NMC Operator

As a Field Service Engineer with DCM Group my tasks included:-
+  Installing and servicing ISDN routers on site 
+  Setting up and configuring Securid security software on Clients networks.
+  Providing support for specialised integrated PC/Telephony product
+  Setting up Lucent wireless networks, on site. 
+  Setting up RSA SecurID servers and Administrating them 
+  Setting up access to remote servers for all Oireachtas members from their constituency offices/homes 
+  Co-ordinating this work and arranging site visits to locations around the country.

Field Service Engineer

As an Eyretel Service Engineer working with Independent Telecoms Group my tasks included:-
+ Carrying out Y2K checks and software upgrades on Recorders
+ Insuring recorders where functioning effectively
+ Installing Eyretel voice recorders.
+ Repairing and upgrading recorders

As a Computing Assistant in University College Dublin my tasks included:-
+ Assisting in certain classes and practicals.
+ Providing printer support.
+ Ensuring all hardware in the facility is functioning properly.
+ Providing software support to staff/students in Macintosh and PC environments.
