Michael Carvin is a seasoned user experience (UX) professional with extensive experience in strategic and tactical UX, primary and secondary user research, information architecture, usability engineering, content strategy, marketing, team building, facilitation, professional development, and mentoring. With a strong focus on identifying the gaps and overlaps among customer/user needs, business needs, and team dynamics, Michael excels at describing the vision, and roadmapping the product's evolution.

Michael's expertise can be traced back to his early days as a Designer at Terradom and The VINE, leading to a Sr. Multimedia Designer role at Peterson's, a Nelnet Company. He has also worked as a Freelancer at Aquent, Sr. Associate, User Experience at Trellist, User Experience Lead and Project Management at Rock River Star, Principal Experience Designer at Red Privet, LLC, Director, Experience Design at EPAM Empathy Lab, and Chair at PhillyCHI (ACM/SIG-CHI). More recently, he has worked at LinkedIn as a Content Strategy and Interim Content Workstream Lead - Contingent Workforce, and as User Experience Lead at AstraZeneca.

Michael has worked with a variety of well-known clients, such as LinkedIn, EightShapes, EPAM Empathy Lab, Red Privet, Rock River Star, and Trellist. With a plethora of experience in designing and facilitating UX, he has worked with clients like Sylvan Learning Centers, BarclayCard US, American Red Cross, and Thomson Reuters IP & Science, among others.

Michael has also shared his knowledge and experience as a Guest Lecturer/Instructor at Rutgers Innovation Education, establishing credibility in the field.
