Meredith Fish

Meredith Fish is a weather enthusiast with a background in meteorology and a Ph.D. in climate science. She pursued a degree in meteorology at Penn State University and continued her education with a Ph.D. in climate science at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, focusing on compound precipitation events along the US West Coast.

During her academic journey, Meredith discovered her passion for research, problem-solving, and coding. Currently, as a postdoctoral fellow at Rutgers University and the Climate Impact Lab, she focuses on measuring the cost of climate change. She collaborates with scientists, economists, and policy experts to determine the social cost of carbon for domestic and global policy-making.

Meredith's professional experience includes roles such as Senior Data Scientist at McKinsey & Company, Postdoctoral Associate at Rutgers University, Graduate Student Research Assistant at the University of California San Diego, and REU Intern at Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory. She has also worked as an Environmental Education Instructor at Maria Mitchell Association and as a Research Assistant at Penn State University. Additionally, she has been involved with organizations like the American Meteorological Society and GREEN - Global Renewable Energy Education Network.
