Mercedes Grant is an activist, healer, and self-proclaimed boat-rocker with a passion for challenging the status quo. As a lover, witch, and psychonaut, Mercedes embraces unconventional paths to initiate change and promote healing. Through her roles as a Rebel at xRebelCanada and Extinction Rebellion, Mercedes advocates for social and environmental justice.

Mercedes Grant pursued her education in Writing and Journalism at The University of British Columbia, honing her skills in communication and storytelling to amplify marginalized voices and advocate for causes close to her heart.

With a background in social entrepreneurship, Mercedes serves as a YT 500 Yoga Teacher at Independent Consultant, utilizing her healing practices to empower individuals and communities. She brings a unique perspective to her work, drawing on her experience as a former Communications and Program Assistant at Peace It Together to facilitate meaningful connections and inspire positive change.

Mercedes Grant's professional journey includes serving as an Industry Program Coordinator at the Whistler Film Festival + Summit, where she bridged the worlds of art and activism to foster dialogue and promote awareness.
