Menno Axt

Head of Platform at Dogpatch Labs & NDRC in Ireland

Menno Axt is the Head of Platform at Dogpatch Labs and the National Digital Research Centre (NDRC) in Ireland. He has been in this role since January 2021, where he has reviewed over 5,000 startups and maintained relationships with more than 100 angel investors and 150 global venture capitalists. His responsibilities include scouting startups and assisting founders in securing investment rounds from notable investors such as Cavalry and Sequoia. He also organizes networking events for global VCs and has played a significant role in adapting the SAFE investment framework into Irish law.1

Before becoming Head of Platform, Axt held several positions at Dogpatch Labs, including Chief of Staff and Programme Manager. As Chief of Staff, he worked closely with the CEO to drive strategic projects and growth initiatives. He was also instrumental in co-creating the Alltech Accelerator, which helped portfolio startups secure substantial follow-on funding.1

Axt has a background in business and economics, having earned his degree from Colorado State University. He is multilingual, speaking English, Dutch, Spanish, French, and German.1
