Melissa Navarro

Melissa Navarro is a highly motivated and detail-oriented sales professional with a passion for developing high-performing teams and creative problem-solving. Currently, she holds the position of Sales Program Manager at Tableau in Washington, DC, supporting the Public Sector, Retail Consumer Goods & Enterprise Corporate Sales teams. Her previous role was as an Area Manager at Expedia Group, leading a team of sales professionals across the Southeast US. Melissa is actively involved in the travel industry, contributing to the success of hospitality professionals through PSHRS (Penn State Hotel & Restaurant Society) as the Membership Chair on the Executive Board. Additionally, she serves as the Director of Organizations & Partnerships for Women in Travel Thrive, a non-profit organization. Melissa has also made significant contributions to the academic field by being published as a contributing author in a university-level Pearson textbook titled 'Technology Strategies for the Hospitality Industry', focusing on online distribution. In 2017, Melissa was recognized as an 'Emerging Professional' by PSHRS. She holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Management from Penn State University.
