Melanie Howard is a Partner at Loeb & Loeb LLP, where she serves as Chair of the Intellectual Property Protection and Luxury Brands practices, as well as Deputy Chair of the Advanced Media and Technology department.24 Her practice focuses on the acquisition, protection, licensing, exploitation, and sale of intangible assets for major brands and individual talent.14

She is known for her strategic brand protection guidance and counsel on intellectual property support in complex commercial transactions, licensing, influencer agreements, sponsorships, and endorsement deals.14 Melanie also has extensive experience in copyright and trademark infringement disputes, false advertising cases, and right of publicity cases.14
As a member of the Privacy, Security & Data Innovations team, Melanie advises clients on data privacy and security issues, with a particular focus on the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).14

Melanie received her J.D. from Harvard Law School, where she was an Articles Editor for the Harvard Negotiation Law Review, and her B.A. from Williams College, graduating cum laude.5
