Jackie O'Brien is a distinguished intellectual property lawyer with more than 30 years of experience. Serving as a Partner at Norton Rose Fulbright Australia, Jackie has demonstrated expertise in IP litigation, brand protection, and project management of large and complex IP litigation matters with global implications. She has worked across a broad range of industry sectors, including pharmaceuticals, mining, food technology, media and entertainment, and financial services, and has been recognized in Chambers Global, Best Lawyers, Managing Intellectual Property, and World Trademark Review as a leader in her field.
Jackie is highly skilled in managing patent, copyright, and trade mark litigation, and is considered a consummate professional by her major clients. Her proficiency in project managing IP litigation matters is also highly regarded, as are her capabilities in advising on domain name disputes, trade mark oppositions, and social media issues.
Jackie has contributed significantly to Norton Rose Fulbright's corporate social responsibility program, serving as Head of CSR and National Pro Bono Partner from 2012 to 2021. She is also a member of the firm's National Diversity & Inclusion and Graduate Recruitment Committees and served on the firm's Management Committee in 2016 and 2017.
