Mehdi Laieb is an accomplished individual who transitioned from being a basketball and baseball player in his youth to becoming an expert in various forms of lighting.

With a strong entrepreneurial background, Mehdi has founded multiple companies in both America and Europe, establishing Ombrages as a leading player in the global Lighting Design industry.

His passion for architectural lighting design was ignited while working on iconic projects like the Louvres and the Eiffel Tower in Paris, leading him to establish Ombrages in 1999.

Ombrages, under Mehdi's leadership as the CEO and Principal Lighting Designer, is renowned for its ability to captivate, excite, and inspire people through their innovative creations.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Mehdi Laieb holds a diverse educational background, having studied Electrotechnics, Engineering, Design, Art History, and Architecture in prestigious institutions like Ecole nationale supérieure d'Arts et Métiers and Ecole nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts.

He has held key positions in various organizations, including co-president at OMIUM, CEO and President at LightBrigade Architectural Lighting Design, and CEO of Ombrages in both Canada and France.

Mehdi's professional journey also includes experience as a Lighting Designer and Project Manager at VINCI Energies and serving as a Tactical Force Soldier in the French Army.
