Mecca Donna
Mecca Donna is a North Carolina native whose career in entertainment began in 1999. She started as an editor at Suite101.com and covered R&B/Soul Music's rise to the "Neo-Soul" Era. She has since interviewed a plethora of respected professionals, including Russell Simmons, Jay-Z, Mariah Carey, and Vivian Green. Mecca has also worked as an on-air radio personality on Radio One's Hot 92.7 and provided voice-over services to companies such as Daimler-Chrysler and McDonald's. She currently runs Mecca Donna Global Public Relations, where she specializes in branding and identity, entertainment journalism, and new media marketing. Mecca has also worked as a website developer, public speaker, freelancer publicist, and principal web designer. She has studied at West Charlotte High School and Howard University. In her free time, Mecca enjoys writing, talent booking, and script-writing.
