Under his leadership, the Pennington Cancer Institute has achieved Full Accreditation with Commendation from the Commission on Cancer, a distinction awarded to only 25% of cancer programs nationally.123
Research and Interests
Dr. Coppes has published over 150 manuscripts and is actively involved in research related to childhood cancer. His interests include analyzing patterns from big data to improve healthcare outcomes and understanding the impact of media on public health perceptions.26

He continues to serve as a Professor of Pediatrics and Internal Medicine at the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine, contributing to both clinical practice and academic training.45
