Mauricio has a diverse educational portfolio, holding an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley - Walter A. Haas School of Business, an MS in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from the same institution, and a Certificate in Management of Technology from UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business. He also pursued a BS in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Florida and studied Ingenieria Industrial at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana.

In his professional journey, Mauricio held the position of VP of Analytics at Claritas Rx and previously served as the Director of Solutions and Customer Success at the same organization. Prior to his time at Claritas Rx, he worked as an Independent Consultant at MB Strategy Consulting and held various roles at Gilead Sciences, including Associate Director positions in National Analytics and Forecasting, and Latin America Commercial Operations.

Before his tenure at Gilead Sciences, Mauricio gained valuable experience at ZS Associates, where he worked in roles ranging from Consultant to Associate, and also served as a Manager. His early career includes roles as an Industrial Engineering Intern at Advanced MicroDevices and as a Project Controls Engineer at Bechtel.
