Matthew Roberts is the CEO and Co-Founder of Cometeer, a coffee technology and manufacturing company based in Gloucester, Massachusetts. He co-founded Cometeer in 2015 after developing the concept while studying abroad in Spain while attending Bentley University. The idea emerged from his struggle to create a consistent coffee profile at home, leading him to experiment with freezing coffee to preserve its freshness. This innovation eventually resulted in the development of single-serve flash-frozen coffee capsules.2 3

Roberts holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics/Finance with a minor in Computer Information Systems from Bentley University, where he graduated with a 4.0 GPA. Before starting Cometeer, he worked in embedded systems and product development at Altran.1 2

Under his leadership, Cometeer has gained recognition for its innovative approach to coffee, including winning awards for its products and being named one of TIME Magazine's best inventions in 2022. The company has also partnered with notable coffee roasters and has raised significant investment to support its growth.2 3
