Project Management Consultant and IT Solution Architect

This short term contract was to plan and migrate four individual T-DOC SQL databases into one large SQL database. We achieved this, saving the company on licensing costs, improving reporting and enabled products to move seamlessly between facilities.  As an added benefit we also enhanced their web based traceability service for the companies NHS and private customers.

Co-ordinating and leading a small 4 person, highly technical, remote and part-time team we successfully rebuilt the databases from the ground up using a mixture of T-DOC import technology, SQL scripts and Data logging scripts.  

Due to the 24 working hour of the business we created a detailed go-live process document to manage a very short outage window per site.

•	Worked with hospital directors and clinicians to deliver, audit and train orthopaedic clinical pathways to multiple private and NHS hospitals.
•	Managed, Delivered and Trained the new Theatre Care Rapide business unit to multiple UK hospitals.
•	Implemented and documented formal project management methodologies within the UK team.
•	Setup a Project Management Office along with management reporting to the UK Board.

•	Managed a £2M IT project delivering a Track and Trace ERP software solution for a new start-up multi-site decontamination super-centre business, InHealth Sterile Services Ltd (IHSS).
•	Utilising PRINCE2 methodology, delivered under budget and on-time, the complex programme for installation of, WAN/LAN Network Infrastructure, including N3 Infrastructure, Desktop/Server Hardware, Citrix, Time and Attendance, T-DOC, Microsoft Dynamics and Office applications.
•	Designed and Implemented end-to-end operational business processes.
•	Develop the businesses IT strategies and updated operational and reporting procedures.
•	Created work instructions, invoicing procedures, report definitions and production exception processes. 
•	Provided and presented costs, budgets, documentation, presentations and project plans to business development teams, customers and stakeholders for enhanced solutions and commercial opportunities.

•	Responsible for the full project lifecycle of innovative IT programmes from initial client consultation through to planning, budgets, risk management, user testing and successful delivery.
•	Managed the implementation and upgrade of a Group wide Cisco VOIP telephony system, including access for home users, Routers, Switches and Firewalls.  
•	Delivered bespoke and “off the shelf” Patient Administration Systems (PAS), multiple Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) and a Digital Transcription System.
•	Relocated IT staff, services and infrastructure from Leeds to High Wycombe with no loss of service and minimal redundancies.
