With a background that includes working with child welfare, developmental disability, special education, behavioral health, and juvenile justice systems, Matthew brings extensive expertise and knowledge to his endeavors.

Matthew Claps holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree in Social Work from Florida State University and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Psychology with a Minor in Religion from the University of Florida.

His professional experience includes working as a Principal Technical Assistance Consultant at American Institutes for Research, Technical Assistance Consultant, Sr. Director of Child and Family Services at Casey Family Programs, Bureau Chief (Policy and Training) at the Office of Child Welfare within the Florida Department of Children and Families, and roles at various other organizations such as Florida Agency for Persons with Disabilities, Human Systems and Outcomes, Inc., Florida State University, and Gateway Community Services, Inc.
