Freelance Journalist
Matthew Bossons is a writer and editor based in Guangzhou, with a keen interest in history, untold narratives, and travel. Originally from Vancouver, Canada, he has been working as a journalist in China for over five years, contributing to major Chinese and international publications. Bossons previously held the position of editor-in-chief at That's magazines in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen and presently hosts the bi-weekly China Untold podcast.
He pursued his education in journalism, obtaining a diploma and a bachelor's degree in journalism and communication from Kwantlen Polytechnic University.
Throughout his career, Bossons has been associated with various organizations, including working as a freelance journalist, serving as Editor In Chief at Urbanatomy Media, holding the role of Senior Digital Editor at That's PRD Magazine within Urbanatomy Media, and contributing as a Digital Editor. He also gained experience through internships at DIVER Magazine in Vancouver and positions such as Media Coordinator at VanCity Drink Specials and Freelance Journalist at Surrey Now Newspaper.
