Matthew Behrens

Matthew Behrens is a mechatronics engineer with a keen interest in renewable energy, robotics, automation, and biomedical engineering. He is known for his leadership skills, teamwork abilities, and passion for taking initiative. With a background in Bachelor of Science in Mechatronics Engineering, Matthew has studied subjects like robotics, control engineering, power engineering, electronics, and mechanical engineering at the University of Cape Town. He also holds a National Senior Certificate from Wittedrift High School.

Matthew's professional journey includes roles such as Renewable Energy Engineer at Arup, Project Engineer at Wind Prospect Africa (Pty) Ltd., Engineering Intern at Wind Prospect Africa (Pty) Ltd., and internships at Belmet Marine (Pty) Ltd. He has also undergone practical engineering training at Cape Peninsula University of Technology and pursued his BSc (Eng) Mechatronics (Hons) at the University of Cape Town.
