Matt Wood is a biotech pioneer with more than 20 years of experience in the industry. He is the CEO and founder of Probiotic Holdings, LLC, where he has developed a groundbreaking biotech platform that brings environmentally-friendly, cost-effective, and healthy probiotic and biochemical products to consumers, industrial scale markets, and farmers.

Wood began his journey as an environmental researcher, where he discovered the power of probiotics and their ability to restore the health and balance of ecosystems. He founded SCD Probiotics in 1998 with a vision to create products that undo the damage caused by toxic chemicals in our lives. Over the years, he has built and patented a biotechnology platform that has brought SCD Probiotics and Proviera Biotech, two subsidiaries of Probiotics Holdings, to six continents, where they have become the premier global provider of probiotic and biochemical technology.

Wood's expertise lies in efficient and beneficial microorganisms for human and animal health, aquaculture, environmental remediation, waste treatment, and odor control. He is also a frequent guest speaker on sustainability and probiotic technology across the globe. Wood's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Soil & Atmospheric Sciences, Soil Microbiology from the University of Missouri-Columbia, a Master of Science in Bioproduction, Environmental Microbiology from the Ryukyu University in Japan, and an Internship, Probiotic Technology for Agriculture from the Universidad EARTH in Costa Rica.
