Matt Pizzuti

Matt Pizzuti is an industry veteran with almost four decades of experience in the hospitality industry. Pizzuti began his career as a hotel front desk employee, then transitioned into sales, and finally into a leadership role as Deputy Director of the Oregon Convention Center. He is well-known for his customer-centric approach to business and his ability to grow and retain the right clientele. Pizzuti is dedicated to promoting Portland, Oregon as a top destination for meetings and conventions, and he is proud to showcase the Oregon Convention Center as the premier venue in the region.

Pizzuti holds a degree in Health and Physical Education/Fitness from Oregon State University, where he also studied Physical Education K-12. Throughout his career, he has honed his skills in green meetings, sustainability, sales, marketing, destinations, facilities, space, exhibits, branding, public relations, and travel.

As Deputy Director of the Oregon Convention Center, Pizzuti oversees the customer experience at the facility and works closely with the Operations, Food and Beverage, and Event Services Teams. He collaborates with Travel Portland to sell the destination and positions the center as the best place to do business in the region. His philosophy is to work closely with each customer to ensure that their event is a success and to foster long-term partnerships that benefit everyone involved.
