Through a partnership with a local web design agency, I developed several Flash and ActionScript 3 based web sites for their clients in the restaurant and salon industries. 

Developed custom adult learning courses using Flash and ActionScript 3, Articulate Presenter and Articulate Storyline for varied clients in the financial, food distribution, human resources and intelligence industries. These courses utilized video, audio and interactivities to engage and educate learners. 

Developed advanced custom Flash courses that were 508 compliant ensuring participants with accessibility concerns were able to view and navigate the content as wells as being fully SCORM 2004 conformant ensuring tracking on the latest LMS technology.

The Emerging Technology Lab was a physical space at Bank of America offering consultation, prototyping and qualitative research services to the enterprise. As a developer there, I was responsible for working with business partners and consultants to create working prototypes for funding, research and voice of the customer qualitative and quantitative research purposes. Our work aligned to the near-term consumer digital strategy to drive new features through ideation and forward-inventing sessions.

I developed prototypes using a variety of technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Xbox Kinect, and native iOS applications in Objective-C. I conducted continuous research on topics involving mobile technology, payments, hardware and software interactivity. I worked to continually advance my team’s skillset by partnering with training vendors like Big Nerd Ranch, Lynda.com, LodeStone and Codeschool.com to continually improve our technical quality.

I lead group demos through our physical space containing forward leaning banking technology for home, second screen, retail payment technology, ATM and innovative customer support methodologies.

I’m listed as co-inventor on several patent applications related to banking technologies.

June 2008 – November 2011 As a developer in the Instructional Technology Architecture team, I was responsible for programming complex, highly interactive learning solutions using Flash, Flex and ActionScript 3. I produced courses starting with initial business partner assessment and then UI design, programming and implementation. I co-lead teams to define programing methodologies, design patterns, toolset and deployment standards for custom solution development. I focused on creating reusable templating engines that other developers could use to quickly create courses using data from XML or SharePoint back-ends. I mentored junior developers to up skill for placement on Architect team. 

October 2007 – June 2008 As the Sr. Front-End Developer in the Enterprise Learning team, I was responsible for creating templates to be utilized by our offshore developers, managing technical quality assurance of their work and integration and troubleshooting LMS implementation issues for our courseware and vendor developed content. I partnered with instructional designers to concept and build novel Flash learning interactions.

As a Sr. Web Developer in HR e-learning team, my primary responsibilities included custom courseware development in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Flash, maintaining and troubleshooting existing courseware, identifying and solving LMS issues and supporting teams of offshore vendors. I led adoption of Flash as the primary development tool for all learning products by creating a reusable Flash ActionScript based authoring tool. This system was adopted as standard and allowed the offshoring of a large segment of course development. I championed and assisted teammates in learning and applying best practices with technologies such as HTML, CSS, XML and Flash. 

All HR positions were outsourced to Hewitt Associates in November 2005; however, my responsibilities did not change.

I was a web developer in the e-learning team whose primary responsibilities included: developing web-based training courses and providing custom artwork and animation. I created template systems in HTML, CSS and JavaScript that enabled junior developers to more efficiently create courseware. Developed a web application to replace PowerPoint training for nuclear station operators allowing them to create interactive content in a WYSIWYG editor and present in a companion player.

Created print-ready 3d renderings of industrial machines from AutoCAD files using 3D Studio Max. Developed multimedia CD-ROM programs utilizing Macromedia Director and Lingo for industrial product sales. Created numerous web sites for local small business and designed and maintained multiple iterations of Computek, Inc web site.
