Matt Lunsford is the President and co-founder of Polyvinyl Record Co., an independent record label established in 1996 in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois.
Together with his partner, Darcie Knight, they started Polyvinyl after leaving college to pursue their passion for working with talented artists.
Polyvinyl Record Co. has a rich history spanning over 20 years, with a strong emphasis on supporting artists, and has released over 300 albums by more than 100 musicians.
The label boasts a diverse roster including renowned names like Alvvays, American Football, Deerhoof, of Montreal, and STRFKR.
Currently, Polyvinyl maintains a team of over 20 people across its headquarters in Illinois, and additional offices in California and New York.
Matt Lunsford, along with his wife Darcie and their three sons, resides in Champaign, Illinois.
He completed his education at Danville High School and continues to play a pivotal role as the President and co-owner of Polyvinyl Records.
