Dr. Matt Grimes is an accomplished education professional with a strong academic background in Curriculum & Instruction (Educational Psychology) and Educational Leadership and Policy Studies, Higher Education and Student Affairs. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.), a Master of Arts in Education (M.A. Ed.), and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.), all from Virginia Tech.

Dr. Grimes has a diverse professional history that includes serving as a Board Trustee in Montgomgery County and holding various roles in institutions like Radford University, Virginia Tech, Town of Christiansburg, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His past positions range from Director of Assessment and Assistant Professor to Group Fitness Instructor and Head Boys' Lacrosse Coach.

Throughout his career, Dr. Grimes has demonstrated expertise in educational research, foundations, experiential learning, assessment, and leadership within academic settings. His experience includes roles at different levels of academia, from teaching and course instruction to program management and leadership development.
