Currently on the Customer Experience developer team at Hotel Engine. We are responsible for our main web application (AngularJS + React), our native mobile app (React Native) and our public API (Node + Hapi). Some of the main highlights from my time so far at Hotel Engine include:

- Starting and leading the migration from AngularJS 1.5.8 to React. This required taking an old AngularJS monolith bundling with Gulp and updating it to work with WebPack 3. Once WebPack was implemented as the bundler the long and arduous process of working up the component tree began. All new features are now written in React 16.8+ and Typescript while the migration of the old AngularJS components continues.
- Implementing a testing suite from scratch. Prior to my arrival at Hotel Engine there was no test coverage on the main web client. All new features and rewrites in React/Typescript are covered by Jest and React-Testing-Library.
- Leading the buildout and architecture of a business enterprise level reporting client. The application allows customers better insights and access to trends and booking habits of their users.

We are a development consultancy. Since being at Singularity, I have developed applications for the company’s product owner(s). These projects have included a mobile client (React Native) for sharing media, the authoring side of a CRM (Angular 1) and the rendering side of said CRM (React).

I am involved day-to-day in architecture decisions of our applications. This includes client side work, server side work, database modeling, design decisions, UI/UX, deployments, cloud file storage, code reviews, mentorship, etc.

Flowhub Cannabis Retail Platform

While working in the MEAN stack, I handled the front-end of our main application at the time (cannabis grow facility compliance software). I was involved in architecture decisions that were not just limited to the front-end, but also our database. 

We wrapped up that application and started on a point of sale solution for dispensaries. Given the change to MeteorJS (the nature of the framework is that you are writing full-stack all of the time), and completely starting from scratch, I was no longer considered our 'front-end developer'.

Web Developer

So we decided to start a food truck. Nuts right? We started the entire White Whale process in the summer of 2013, and launched April 2014. We specialize in built-to-order ice cream sandwiches. As one of the four owners, our responsibilities have included everything from building our web presence to working the truck.
