Martin Paev is an accomplished investment banker and entrepreneur with extensive experience in private equity, venture capital, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), corporate finance, financial and investment advisory, real estate investments, project financing, grant financing, telecommunications, data centers, cloud computing, Artificial Intelligence, and blockchain. He is the Chairman and CEO of SORTIS GROUP, an investment banking boutique holding with subsidiaries in private equity, venture capital, real estate asset management, credit advisory, and hospitality asset management. Additionally, Martin is investing in a large data center project in Bulgaria, an EU member-state in South-Eastern Europe. He is a regular speaker/chair at private equity, investment and data center conferences.
Martin studied High school and completed his Bachelor of Business Administration and MSc in Economics at Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski. During his studies, he was also an exchange student and studied at the Universität des Saarlandes and HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht (Hogeschool Utrecht).
As an entrepreneur, Martin has been the Owner and General Manager at Sortis Credit, Sortis Real Estate, and SORTIS INVEST. Apart from that, he has worked as Board Member at Speedy Net, Executive Director at Address Invest, Executive Director at TBI-BAC Real Estate Investment Trust, and Senior Associate - Investment Banking and Business Development at Balkan Advisory Company, Sofia, Bulgaria. He has also gained experience in international finance, having worked as a Corporate Finance / Mergers & Acquisitions Consultant at ETEBA Bulgaria S.A. (member of National Bank of Greece Group) and Research Analyst at ETEBA (National Investment Bank for Industrial Development), and Investment Banking Intern at ING Barings.
