Markus Deutsch

Markus Deutsch is the Co-Founder and CEO of Fusion Sport, a global leader in human performance software for elite military and sport organizations.2 He holds a PhD in Exercise Physiology and has nearly 20 years of experience in sports science.5

Deutsch co-founded Fusion Sport in 2003, initially developing sports technology products like Smartspeed before launching their Athlete Management System in 2011.3 His passion for using technology to monitor athletes and improve performance led him to start the company after completing his PhD, during which time he also worked as a consultant to the New Zealand All Blacks and other elite teams in various sports.1

Under Deutsch's leadership, Fusion Sport has developed Smartabase, a HIPAA-compliant workflow and decision support system that drives improvement in human performance, optimizes strength, speed, stamina and resilience, and helps mitigate injury risk.2 The company's solutions are used by elite sports organizations worldwide and the US Military.4
