Previously, he served as the Group Chief Executive Officer at Cim Financial Services Ltd. (Cim Group), the largest non-banking financial institution in Mauritius, listed on the Stock Exchange of Mauritius, with a sizable workforce of over 850 employees. Cim Group and its subsidiaries operate in two primary clusters: Finance and Investments. Within the Finance sector, Cim Finance offers a diverse range of financial services, including Consumer Finance, Cards & Payments, Leasing, and Factoring. On the other hand, the Investments cluster includes entities like Cim Credit Kenya Ltd. (Aspira) and a significant ownership stake in iVeri Payment Technologies. Aspira, a Fintech Consumer Finance business headquartered in Nairobi, and iVeri, an electronic payment solutions provider in Johannesburg, are key components of the investment portfolio under Mark's leadership. Mark's professional journey also includes valuable management consulting experience at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in Johannesburg and Sydney, focusing on various strategic aspects like corporate strategy, business unit strategy, growth, innovation, as well as substantial restructuring and organizational design initiatives, primarily within the mining and petrochemicals industries.
