Mark Mathias

Mark Mathias is the Founder and President of Remarkable STEAM, a position he has held since 2012. He is based in the New York City Metropolitan Area and has a diverse background in technology and education. His career includes significant roles such as Chief Information Officer at Appen and various leadership positions in technology firms, including President of the New York CTO Club and Chief Technology Officer at multiple companies.

In addition to his work at Remarkable STEAM, Mathias is also a co-founder and co-chair of Maker Faire Westport, which promotes creativity and innovation through hands-on learning experiences. He has been actively involved in the Westport Board of Education since 2003 and is a member of the Fairfield Westchester SIM.

Mathias has received recognition for his contributions to social entrepreneurship, including being named Entrepreneur of the Year: Social Good by The Entrepreneurship Foundation in July 2020. His educational background includes a degree from the University of the Pacific, where he also began his career as a programmer/analyst.1
