Mark Hutcheson

High School Director of Teaching and Learning at Linn Mar Community Schools

Mark Hutcheson is a highly educated professional with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Chemistry from Westmar College, a Master’s Degree in Education Leadership from Drake University, and a Master’s Degree in HPER (Athletic Administration) from South Dakota State University. Mark has a vast experience in the field of education, having served in various roles at Linn Mar Community Schools, including High School Director of Teaching and Learning, Associate Principal, Curriculum Director, Science Teacher, and Curriculum Facilitator. He also has experience as a Secondary Math and Science Teacher, coaching varsity boys basketball and assisting with football and track teams. Mark has also worked as a Graduate Assistant at South Dakota State University in the HPER Department and with the Men's Basketball program. Prior to his career in education, Mark gained experience as an Analytical Chemist at Meredith/Burda Corporation.
