Mark Gaskins, also known as "Brother Mark", is a dedicated community servant with almost two decades of experience mentoring Black youth, engaging families, and establishing partnerships with various stakeholders.
He has a background in nonprofit management, finance, organizational development, and operations, with a strong influence from his father, a pastor, who exemplified servant leadership.
Brother Mark is a strategic advocate for Black youth and families, with over 10 years of consulting experience in assisting global organizations with enterprise software evaluation, purchase, and implementation.
In 2014, alongside his wife, he co-founded The Village Method (TVM), a grassroots organization aimed at supporting Black youth through their academic journey, preventing them from entering the School to Prison Pipeline, and promoting Afrocentric programming to raise cultural awareness.
Through his leadership, TVM has formed partnerships and collaborations across Northern California, advancing its mission to empower Black youth and families.
Aside from his professional endeavors, Mark has been married for 15 years, is a loving father of three, and is deeply involved in community leadership, particularly advocating for the well-being and success of Black youth.
He finds inspiration in the words of Frederick Douglass, "It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men".
