Mark Cosgrove

Mark Cosgrove is an Ontario Provincial Police officer with extensive experience in general law enforcement detachments in Central and North West Regions, along with a role as a full-time instructor at the Provincial Police Academy.

A dedicated member of the Highway Safety Division Burlington/Niagara cluster detachment since February 2014, Mark has excelled in roles such as the 2IC position on his platoons, demonstrating strong leadership skills and a commitment to serving his community.

From June 2015 to October 2018, Mark was a valued member of the Emergency Response Team, where he also served as part of the instructional cadre, specializing in firearms, use of force, and tactical training. His expertise extends to various areas including Containment, Search & Rescue, Public Order, Canine Back-up, and more.

Mark Cosgrove is known for his teamwork, leadership capabilities, and dedication to maintaining a high level of readiness through continuous education and a healthy lifestyle.

In terms of education, Mark pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Canadian History at Western University and completed his High School General Studies at Ridley College.

His professional experience includes his current role as a Police Officer at the Ontario Provincial Police, previous work as a Retail Associate at Nike, and involvement as a Rugby Player at Harlequins.
