Mark Byington is the President of Cobalt Power Systems, Inc., a company he founded in 2003. He has been leading the company since its inception, overseeing its growth from a small operation in his Los Altos garage to a prominent provider of residential and commercial photovoltaic (PV) and energy storage systems in the San Francisco Bay Area.2 Under his leadership, Cobalt Power Systems has become known for high-quality solar installations and exceptional customer support, completing over 3,500 installations.2
Before founding Cobalt Power Systems, Byington held several executive positions in various companies. He served on the Board of Directors for Skyline Solar, Inc. from 2008 to 2011, was the Chief Operating Officer at Wireless, Inc. from 1999 to 2001, and held senior roles in engineering and marketing at Wavespan Corporation, Netro Corporation, Stratex Networks, and Harris Corporation.14
Byington holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from Stanford University, which he completed in 1974.1 He is based in Mountain View, California.3
