Entrepreneurial Ventures

In 2008, Burrell co-founded Tongal, a platform that connects freelancers with brands needing advertising services. Under his leadership, Tongal raised over $36 million in funding and developed a community of over 250,000 creators. He later became a partner at Half Shell Entertainment and was involved with the Ad Council, focusing on public service announcements.

In 2016, he co-founded Human Ventures Co., an early-stage venture capital firm aimed at funding technology-driven startups that enhance people's lives. He left this role in 2020 to concentrate on Hello Weldon, which was later sold to Spring Health.
