Maria Batko is an Environmental Management professional with over 15 years of experience in the field, specializing in assessing projects' compliance with Lenders standards, Environmental and Social Due Diligence, and Environmental and Social monitoring.

With a strong background in the infrastructure sector, Maria has a solid understanding of various International Finance Institutions' (IFIs) policies, Performance Standards, and their application to project evaluation.

Maria has contributed environmental insights to Transaction Advice and Lenders Technical Advisory teams, demonstrating her expertise in providing crucial input for project success.

She has worked on Public-Private Partnership (PPP) projects, showcasing her versatility and adaptability in various project structures.

Maria excels in collaborating within multi-disciplinary and multicultural teams, effectively communicating with a diverse range of stakeholders including Clients, Project sponsors, beneficiaries, and sub-consultants across more than 15 countries.

Her educational background includes a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Biology from Jagiellonian University, Krakow, Poland.

She also worked in various capacities at Arup, including as a Project Assistant, Consultant, and Senior Environmental Consultant. Prior to that, she was a Specialist at the Inspectorate for Environmental Protection.
