Marcus Hultvall

Marcus Hultvall is a police officer (polis) working for the Swedish Police Authority (Polismyndigheten).1 He has received education from several institutions, including:

2. The Swedish Police Academy (Polishögskolan), where he studied behavioral science and law
3. The Swedish Defence University (Krigshögskolan), where he completed general and tactical courses1

In 2016, Hultvall gained public attention for writing a controversial debate article as a private individual, though he referenced his job as a police officer multiple times in the piece.24 The article, titled "Moder Sveas krympande livsutrymme" (Mother Svea's shrinking living space), contained statements about forcing adaptation, prosecuting, and expelling certain individuals.34

Following the publication of this article, there was discussion about potential repercussions for Hultvall within the police force. However, the police region of Bergslagen decided that there would be no reprisals against him for his statements.5

It's worth noting that Hultvall's article and subsequent events sparked debates about freedom of expression for police officers and the presence of xenophobic attitudes within the police force.3
