Sylvain St-Amour is a retired officer from the SPVM with a rich background in law enforcement.

Currently serving as an instructor in dealing with violent individuals at John Abbott College, he has held various roles in the field of law enforcement and ethics.

With extensive experience as a consultant on applied ethics in policing operations and the appropriate use of force, Sylvain has also been a key member of multiple law enforcement agencies including the Canadian Armed Forces and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

Sylvain's expertise includes risk detection, supporting vulnerable peers, facilitating feedback processes, conducting ethical reflections, and providing coaching and training in operational practices.

As an accomplished author and speaker, Sylvain has shared his knowledge in books and as a recognized expert witness in police force operations.

He has led numerous operational feedback sessions and has a strong background in physical intervention training within law enforcement organizations.
