Marcia Gonzales-Kimbrough is a retired Deputy City Attorney who served with the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office for over 39 years.12 She worked as a prosecutor for the first 14 years and then spent 25 years as general counsel to various City departments, programs, and elected officials.1

Gonzales-Kimbrough has been actively involved in education and social service organizations, professional associations, and alumni organizations.1 She served on the governing board of the Los Angeles Education Partnership (LAEP) and previously served as the Board Chair, supporting the CEO during the COVID-19 pandemic.1

Marcia Gonzales-Kimbrough graduated from Princeton University in 1975 as the first Mexican-American woman to attend the university.13 She majored in psychology and obtained a certificate from Princeton's Teacher Preparation Program.3 Gonzales-Kimbrough later received her law degree from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 1979.1
