Lead Partnerships & Business Development at M12, Microsoft's Venture Fund
Gal Avital is currently the Lead for Partnerships & Business Development in the EMEA region at M12, Microsoft's Venture Fund, a position he has held since October 2020. In this role, he focuses on market development, sourcing startups for strategic partnerships, and facilitating acquisitions by Microsoft. He also leads an alliance of early-stage venture capitalists in Europe and Israel, promoting business engagements between M12's portfolio companies and large enterprises.1
In addition to his role at M12, Avital is involved in various initiatives. He is a member of SHESHE, a mentorship program for women at Meta, and co-founded Halas-Tech, a social initiative that connects cancer patients with major tech companies to enhance their professional opportunities. He also co-founded Gal Yarok, which assists cancer patients in navigating bureaucratic processes to access their rights.1
Prior to his current position, Avital held several roles in business development and strategic partnerships, including at Singtel and Cream Software Engineering, where he was responsible for initiating partnerships and conducting deal flow efforts.1
