Mamta Gautam
Associate Senior Faculty at National Institute of Design, Haryana
Mamta Gautam is an accomplished design practitioner, academician, and mentor with more than 12 years of experience in the design industry. She earned her Master's degree in Ceramic and Glass from the National Institute of Design, where she gained expertise in problem-solving, design thinking, systems, and processes. Additionally, she studied at the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi. Mamta has worked with small and medium-scale manufacturers, craftsmen, and brands as a practicing architect and designer.
She has a proven record of successfully executing design projects from the idea phase to launch, thanks to her skills in design thinking and systemic thinking. Her experience includes design consulting, space design, and design research with a broad range of clients. She has also worked as a Coordinator Foundation Programme at the National Institute of Design, Haryana. Mamta has served as an Associate Senior Faculty and Associate Faculty at NIDH and IICD-Indian Institute of Crafts And Design, respectively.
Mamta Gautam is dedicated to mentoring young designers, leveraging her academic and practical experience, along with international exposure. Her interests include creating a better connection and dialogue between the design industry and academia to close the gap and produce better design education practices.
