• Developed cohesive strategy representing viewpoints of over twenty non-profit groups to address upcoming changes to Equal Opportunity laws impacting women in construction and registered apprenticeship programs.
• Created an outreach strategy inclusive of presentations, emails and social media campaign utilizing Legal Momentum’s website, Facebook, and Twitter to educate and to encourage stakeholders to support and request changes in Equal Opportunity laws.

Project Leader (Pro bono)

Sony's Commercial Music Group capitalizes on the company’s catalog and provides a suite of shared services and business development functions across the enterprise

•	Launched product lines (book publishing, fine art and mass retail products) from non-core company assets of artists such as Johnny Cash, Miles Davis and Bob Dylan. Grew from concept into an expected seven figure business within two years. 
 
•	Designed products, developed sales and marketing strategy, and negotiated rights with artist management. Leveraged these assets in the creation of ARCHIVE 1887, an apparel line featured at Barney’s.

•	Determined digital asset management strategy for more than 2.5 million photographs to improve efficiencies and to create revenue streams. Strategy included partnerships with content providers such as Google, Bing, Yahoo, and AOL to offset $5 million scanning costs.

•	Oversaw branded entertainment relationship with Citi ensuring marketing programs met Citi’s expectations. Negotiated deal terms, developed marketing and digital download programs, and expanded program to include Sony Electronics, Sony Style and Sony Picture products.

•	Advised senior management on non-traditional sales strategy (retailers outside of mass music retailers such as Wal-Mart and Best Buy) addressing decline in music sales and projecting doubled revenue to $100 million.

•	Initiated approach and designed music licensing web portal resulting in a 30% increase in business.

Sony Music Entertainment

Vice President, Business Development

Chief of Staff to President of Sony's Commercial Music Group (CMG). CMG capitalizes on the company’s catalog and provides a suite of shared services and business development functions across Sony Music and generating more than 50% of Sony Music’s overall net revenue.

•	Forged strong cross-functional relationships across business lines, improving communication and efficiency throughout the Commercial Music Group, a newly formed entity within Sony Music with 300 employees.

•	Analyzed business proposals from artists, management, and business partners. Determined strategic opportunities while managing artist relations.

•	Initiated Lunch &amp; Learns for CMG which led to company-wide educational Lunch &amp; Learns for all Sony Music employees increasing communication and providing training at no additional cost.

Vice President, Operations & Special Projects

Provided consulting services to support global C-level executives, including coordination and management of complex and highly political initiatives. Served as point person on many assignments with direct accountability to global COO and senior management team, ensuring efficient integration of the merged company.

•	Managed a politically sensitive Sales assessment resulting in essential changes in recruiting the head of sales, organization structure and retail strategies addressing the decline in music sales.

•	Integrated Business Affairs processes, policies and organizations tackling the requirements of a matrixed company. Streamlined processes and organizational structure increasing service to the Labels (Columbia, Epic, RCA, JIVE, Legacy, Masterworks and Sony Nashville) leading to a more balanced decision making authority.

•	Implemented shared service operations for Copyright Department developing Service Level Agreements and gaining consensus from Labels (Columbia, Epic, RCA, JIVE, Legacy, Masterworks and Sony Nashville).

•	Appointed by global COO to coordinate strategic initiatives addressing the digital marketplace and decline in sales. Facilitated senior management workshops on: TV programming, artist branding, merchandising, touring, artist contracts, and catalog exploitation. Resulted in a newly created merchandise department, increased focus on Sony Music’s catalog, and initiatives to simplify artist contracts.

Managed projects that were part of a global data clean-up effort enabling EMI Music to increase revenues by $17 million annually.

•	Delivered a contract summary application resulting in improved visibility of repertoire and increased exploitation of EMI Music masters through a more streamlined clearance process.

Managed strategic and product development for the Services, Sales and Marketing components of a suite of CRM products.
•	Supervised 15 people and responsible for a $4 million commercial CRM software development project.
 
•	Reengineered development processes and managed 45 people in an offshore development company in Moscow, Russia, resulting in improved communications and increased efficiencies between organizations.
